Prophetische Kunst: Gerechtfertigt durch Sein Blut

Beim Lobpreis neulich im Gottesdienst, ging mir immer wieder dieser Stelle aus Jesaja durch den Kopf:

„So kommt denn und lasst uns miteinander rechten, spricht der HERR. Wenn eure Sünde auch blutrot ist, soll sie doch schneeweiß werden, und wenn sie rot ist wie Purpur, soll sie doch wie Wolle werden.“ Jesaja 1, 18

Wenn wir uns mit Gott auf einen Rechtsstreit einlassen wollen, ziehen wir immer den Kürzeren. Wir können nichts dazu beitragen um vor Gott im rechten Licht dazustehen, wir können für unsere Gerechtigkeit nichts dazu beitragen. Wir haben alle Dreck am Stecken, sind total unrein aus uns heraus. Unsere Sünde ist rot wie Blut, total dreckig.

Aber durch das Blut, das Jesus, das Lamm Gottes, für uns vergossen hat, dürfen wir rein und weiß wie Schnee und Wolle sein. Gerechtfertigt allein aus Gnade, als Geschenk. Sein Blut wäscht uns rein, jetzt dürfen wir porentief rein sein. Was für ein Geschenk!

Recently during the worship the scripture out of Isaiah came to my mind:

„“Come now, let us settle the matter,” says the Lord. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool“
Isaiah 1: 18

If we want to discuss with God our righteousness we will always fail. There is nothing we can bring in to settle the matter, nothing we can bring out of ourself to add to our righteousness. We are all dirty and unclean. Our sin is red like blood, like scarlet or crimson.

But by the blood of Jesus, the lamb of God, that He shed for us on the cross He made us clean, he declared us righteous. Now we are holy, we are cleansed, white as snow and wool. Justified by grace, it is a gift. His blood washes us clean, we are totally pure. What a gift!
