U2 – No Line on the Horizon // Neues Album

Nun ist es also soweit. Nach über vier Jahren seit ihrem letzten ist diese Woche das neue Album von U2 „No Line on the Horizon“ erschienen. Eine Woche spielten sie jeden Abend live in New York in der Show von David Letterman. Für dieses Event wurde extra eine ganze Straße in „U2 Way“ umgenannt – nur für diese Woche natürlich.

Auf U2.COM kann man sich das komplette Album anhören. Nach mehrmaligem Hören weiß ich immer noch nicht, was ich von dem Ganzen halten soll. Die bisherigen Alben fand ich sofort ziemlich geil. Einige Songs finde ich ziemlich langweilig bzw gewöhnungsbedürftig. Wenige wie das „Magnificient“ hier sind richtig geil. Um das komplette Album zu kaufen, ist es mir momentan noch nicht das Geld wert…

Den Text des Liedes finde ich ziemlich geil, das kann echt als Lobpreislied durchgehen:

Einige Titel finde ich auch sehr geil. Könnte man echt in den Sprachschatz aufnehmen: I’ll go crazy, if I don’t get crazy tonight (Ich werd verrückt, wenn ich heute nacht nicht verrückt werde)
